Jaure, a bottled water sourced from a deep spring in the granite mountains near Lake Vojmsjön in Vilhelmina (Lapland, Sweden), has achieved international recognition by winning a gold medal at the Taste & Design Awards 2025 in Atlanta, USA. Competing against over 100 brands from 30 countries, Jaure was awarded first place in the “sparkling water” category by a panel of expert water sommeliers from around the world.
The event, hosted by the Fine Water Society, celebrates excellence in premium water through taste and design. Katarina Paulson, co-owner of the family-run company, described the victory as both surprising and thrilling.
A key factor in Jaure’s success is what the Paulson family calls “soft sparkling”—a gently carbonated style perfected by Katarina’s twin sons, Gustaf and Verner. Their careful experimentation with timing and carbonation created a smooth, refined texture that judges compared to the elegance of champagne.
Although the Jaure brand is new to the market, the source itself has been in the same family since 1860, passed down through eight generations. With this deep heritage and a strong commitment to quality, Jaure has already begun attracting prestigious clients across the globe—from luxury hotels, Royal Courts and fine dining establishments to high-end wellness destinations.
For the Paulson family, the gold medal is not just a prize, but a symbol of dedication to purity, craftsmanship, and tradition—now carried forward into a new era of global recognition.
